You'll be taking a steel billet and using your hammer to fashion the shape of the blade and the handle

You'll learn the magic of hardening steel just before the fine grind. Mystery is replaced with knowledge.

you'll be shown how to find joy in the making of your own knife sheath. Lots of colours and textures of leather to choose from and make it your own.

You'll be shown our way to hone a blade into sharpness. Then take this knowledge with you for the rest of your life.
A Knife Is Born
The skills learn in this workshop are going to stay with you forever and there is even a high chance you will return with your own design to create. This is not something you get a chance to do every day especially with no previous experience except here at Forge On. Great Instructors make great students.

Knowledge required
No previous forging or knife-making knowledge required. Ages 18+.
What to bring
Note about safety - Wear a cotton shirt (synthetics are potentially flammable). Makesure your jeans fit over the tops of your closed-toe shoes or boots so nothing hot can fall in.- Safety glasses and earplugs are available, or bring your own.
- Bringing your own leather riggers gloves is a good idea or use ours. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Fridge available. 5 minutes early is helpful too.
